Have questions about how Amovista works, our fee structure, or what to expect when you buy or sell with us? You’ll find answers to the most common questions below.
Who we are, how we work, and what makes us different.
Amovista is a modern real estate brokerage based in Alberta. We focus on transparent, simple fee structures and practical, full-service support for both sellers and buyers.
Instead of confusing commission models, we offer clear options—like our 1% Low-Fee Plan (capped at $10,000 + GST) and our $599 Cost Saver Plan—so you always know what you’re paying and what you’re getting.
Amovista currently serves homeowners and buyers in Alberta, with a strong focus on Calgary and surrounding areas (including Airdrie and nearby communities). If you’re unsure whether we can help in your specific area, just contact us and we’ll confirm.
We’re a full-service brokerage with transparent, lower-fee options. Our goal is to combine the service quality of a traditional brokerage with the savings and clarity people want today.
You choose the plan that fits your situation—either a more hands-on approach (Cost Saver Plan) or full-service support (Low-Fee Plan).
How our 1% Low-Fee Plan and Cost Saver Plan work.
Our Low-Fee Plan is a success-based 1% listing fee, capped at $10,000 + GST. You get full-service support, including:
You pay the listing fee only when your home successfully sells. Buyer’s brokerage fees (if any) are separate and can be discussed as part of your overall strategy.
The Cost Saver Plan is a flat-fee MLS® listing option for sellers who are comfortable being more involved in the process. It typically includes:
You manage showings and buyer follow-up, while Amovista handles the listing side and keeps things organized on MLS®.
Our goal is transparency. We clearly outline what’s included in each plan, and any optional add-ons are explained upfront so you can decide what you want.
Standard costs outside of the brokerage (for example, legal fees, home inspections, or condo documents) are separate and are paid to those third parties, not to Amovista.
The listing fee in our plans is for Amovista’s services as the listing brokerage. Any compensation offered to a cooperating buyer’s brokerage is separate and will be discussed with you when we build your pricing and marketing strategy.
We’ll walk you through typical options in the current market so you can make an informed decision.
From listing preparation to possession day.
The typical starting steps are:
We’ll guide you through each step so you always know what’s next and what to expect.
In many cases, once paperwork is complete and photos/measurements are done, we can have your home on MLS® within a short time frame. The exact timing depends on how quickly preparation, staging and photography can be booked.
If you have a specific target date in mind, let us know and we’ll build a schedule backwards from there.
Yes. With our Low-Fee Plan, your Amovista agent reviews offers with you, explains key terms, and negotiates on your behalf. We also coordinate with your lawyer’s office and help you track conditions, timelines and possession details.
If you’re using the Cost Saver Plan, we’ll clearly explain what’s included and what additional support options may be available if you want more help at the offer stage.
Yes. Many clients come to us after working with another brokerage. Once your previous listing term has ended (or has been properly terminated), we can review what was done, what can be improved, and how our fee structure and strategy could help this time.
Support for home buyers in Alberta.
We help both buyers and sellers. If you’re buying a home, we can assist with property searches, showings, offer strategy, negotiation and coordinating with your mortgage broker and lawyer.
In many transactions, the buyer’s brokerage is compensated through the listing brokerage, according to the terms in the listing agreement. We’ll explain how this works in your specific situation so you understand who is paying which costs.
Absolutely. Many clients work with us on both the sale of their current home and the purchase of their next one. This makes timing, possession dates and overall planning much smoother, since everything is coordinated through one team.
Other common questions about working with Amovista.
It usually comes down to how involved you want to be and how much support you’d like at each stage.
We’re happy to walk through your situation and recommend a plan that makes sense for your goals and timeline.
The easiest way to get started is to request a free home evaluation or book a call with our team:
From there, we’ll talk about your goals, timing, and which plan fits you best.
In many cases, we can review and adjust the approach if your needs change, subject to the terms of your existing agreement and applicable regulations. If you think you might want to switch plans, talk to us early so we can outline your options.
